About the role

Location: 12A Murray Road, Workington CA14 2AD

Salary: up to £25k + commission

Time: 8.30-5pm / Monday-Friday, hybrid position.

Driving License required.

Working with a range of employers recruiting for white-collar positions, you will have the amazing opportunity to service our wonderful existing clients as well as been responsible for creating new client wins across West Cumbria, Carlisle & Penrith.

The Team

The team consists of 3, each bringing their own charisma, passion, and energy to the team. Your Branch Manager, Amy has been with the business for 16 years, so there’s no shortage of knowledge and support she can’t give you. Our Temps Consultant, Jodie has also been with Adecco for 16 years, alongside our Candidate Consultant, Claire who supports Jodie with her Temp desk.

What you'll be doing

You have a fantastic opportunity here to really involve yourself in establishing your perms desk across Cumbria, where you will be cultivating and managing client relationships and effectively bringing new opportunities to market on behalf of our clientele. This branch has some great long-standing clients, but it’s up to you to make a name for yourself and bring on your own client base, to see the fiscal rewards!

This is a 360 role, so whilst you will be responsible for new business development, and following a sales strategy by managing the existing clients, you will be someone who can also excel in speaking with candidates, create compelling job advertisements and appropriately communicate and prepare candidates effectively for interviews.

  • Identifying and connecting with candidates through diverse channels to support them in their job search
  • Conducting interviews with candidates to gain a comprehensive understanding of their experience, skills, and career aspirations.
  • Matching candidates with permanent job opportunities and promoting candidates to clients to cultivate new opportunities.
  • Building up your market knowledge within your sector and utilising your knowledge to cultivate new business relationships
  • Gain trust and consistency from clients through regular sales calls and networking
  • Contacting clients, scheduling meetings to delve into their business requirements, and effectively presenting the advantages of collaborating with Adecco and the candidates you represent
  • Engaging with clients through in-person and virtual visits, as well as dropping by employers to introduce Adecco and communicate the range of services you provide
  • Managing client relationships to establish enduring and successful partnerships, encompassing both existing clients and generating new opportunities.
  • Build market knowledge of clients within each sector.
  • Daily use of internal CRM system and recruitment tools (which will be taught)
About you

Candidates with prior 360 recruitment experience are preferred, if you have experience winning new business and managing the full candidate and client cycle.

But we also welcome those who have worked in a strong sales background, who are actively hungry to pursue the business development side. For someone from this background, we would love to see evidence of your willingness, how you’re used to working to KPI's, and have some idea of what your strategy would be in generating new business.

  • Be enthusiastic to build their own success for the branch and have the DRIVE to do so.
  • Strong organisation skills and a methodical approach to all tasks.
  • You will need to be strongly competent managing your own diary. Some days will be solely client visits, so you need to manage your workload for the week and ensure you meet your targets.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure efficient delivery of candidates to your client(s).A positive, motivated, and charismatic attitude.
  • An unwavering commitment to diligence, continuous learning and striving for excellence.
  • Desire to be a top biller within the recruitment industry.
  • Ambitious nature who can keep up a professional and consistent pace with clients.

Interview Stages

  1. Initial Teams / Face to Face interview with the Branch Manager, Amy.
  2. You will be given a short brief before the second stage and will have to deliver a 10-minute presentation via Teams with the Area or Regional Manager.
  3. Not really a third stage, but you will be able to meet our Head of Perm, Lisa for a short 15-minute Teams Video call.
