About the role

Are you looking to enhance your existing professional marketing experience in a world leading recruitment agency?

We’re seeking an eager Marketing Assistant to level up our content creation and support our marketing output to bring our business to new heights.

Location: London BSQ – 2 days in the office / 3 days working from home

Salary: up to £30k

We are in search of a resilient, energetic, and collaborative individual to join our in-house marketing team. This role requires experience in entry-level marketing, or evidence of strong writing skills such as blog writing or enjoyment in the copywriting world, including skills in social media management and a genuine enthusiasm for content creation.

We value the potential to adapt and grow, so while design skills and technical experience in specific tech stacks are not mandatory, we hope to see some engagement in some design technology. But we are welcoming your eagerness to embrace new technologies and dedication to learning new skills that amplify your job performance are highly regarded.

Working closely with team members across the whole Marketing department, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving forward our brands, contributing to our anticipated growth trajectory from 2024 and beyond.

The Team

Our team brings together colleagues across a wide variety of marketing disciplines to create a 360-degree department. From seasoned marketeers with over a decade of experience to fresh graduates, each member brings a unique set of skills and valuable viewpoint.

Valuing the education of our more junior colleagues, training programmes are made available and the work on offer is varied to ensure everyone develops the skills necessary to be successful in their career.

What you'll be doing
  • Copywriting – craft compelling and concise copy for marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and effective messaging. From email copy and flyer text to social media posts and infographics, you’ll be a passionate writer who understands the value a well-written tag line offers. Content will be both internally and externally focused, offering a variety of audiences to speak to and a wide variety of projects to get involved with. A majority of content will be more short form, but it would be advantageous if you are someone who enjoys blog writing.

  • Team Project Support – we are a diverse team with lots of moving parts and we work with many third-party suppliers. As a Marketing Assistant you will help coordinate supplier quotes, work across teams to gather information or feedback and ensure our internal systems are kept up to date and organised. A keen eye for detail and organised mindset will set you up for success.

  • Content Calendar – maintaining the timelines for the editorial calendar across Adecco and Office Angels, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with marketing campaigns.

  • Collaboration – work closely with the wider marketing team, including Social Media, Graphic Design, Brand Marketing, Digital, and Research and Insights to ensure you are up to date on what others are doing, and that the successes of the full team can be leveraged to make improvements.

  • Strategy Development – you will be reporting into a Senior Marketing Executive, initially delivering on requests from the business, but over time your role will evolve into formulating, contributing, and executing strategies aligned with brand objectives and target audience interests and working with the wider team to deliver on specific projects.

  • Staying updated – most of the content will be filtered down into actionable deliverables, but over time you will be expected to keep abreast of industry trends, content marketing best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve content quality and relevance, alongside your personal development within the team.
About you

Your willingness to evolve and acquire new skills will be key in excelling within this role.

· We would love the technical skill, if you are someone with past marketing, social media or content creation, then we would love to hear from you.

· Additionally, a journalism or writing background is also highly advantageous for this role.

· We would love someone who sees beyond traditional marketing, someone who understands and thinks about the nuances of platforms and content creation but can translate that into the existing brand guidelines.

· Collaboration is huge in this role, so you will be someone who can excel in cross-functional teamwork, seamlessly partnering with diverse teams – from creative minds to analytical/sales experts – to bring your campaigns to life.

· There is a lot of back and forth editing in this role, so you must be adaptable. You’re quick to embrace new technologies, suggestions of edits and pivot swiftly in response to any shifts or preferences.

· Equally, you need to be resilient to be able to advise expertly on what is best for each brand and content idea. You are here to advise and deliver, so do not underestimate your potential and expertise in your role.

Interview Stages:

1. Initial Teams call with Marketing Director.

If relevant, will be asked to send over examples of previous work in writing, comms, social media or marketing.

2. Face to face interview with two managers – Senior Marketing Executive and either the Head of Marketing Solutions or VP of Marketing, Communications and New Business.
