About the role

SUMMARY:

The Contract Compliance Analyst is responsible for conducting a wide range of financial, operational, and compliance audits for large corporate accounts within the North America Group. Identifies root causes of critical issues, assesses the level of impact to the business, and defines actions to mitigate risk. Provides oversight and strategic direction for the compliance activities and reporting for large corporate accounts within the North America Group.  Develops, implements, and enforces standardized processes, policies, and procedures; and ensures consistent reporting standards. Develops and delivers strategic communications regarding compliance activities and associated reporting. 

What you’ll be doing

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Client facing role that requires independent judgment on agreements and high levels of discretion within the client interactions.
  • Conducts customer compliance audits designed to ensure standardization and adherence to all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducts customer social responsibility audits and supplier code of conduct audits.
  • Identifies areas requiring attention so that leadership may develop action plans, strategies, and/or testing activities to ensure corrective actions are taken and compliance issues are resolved.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and evaluating audit relevant data prior to the start of the audit to improve the result and the quality of the audit.
  • Collaborate with other members of the engagement team throughout the audit and informing management of audit issues and progress.
  • Partner with Contract Administration to develop & implement standardized process for contract setup and maintenance.
  • Acts as liaison between National Accounts Management and Contract Administration and all levels of management with our contract customers.
  • Collaborates with the management team to provide feedback to user-community regarding contractual requirements, best practices, and procedures.
  • Provides support on creating customized reporting for all levels of National Accounts Management teams and internal corporate departments as needed using reporting channels such as MicroStrategy.
  • Builds and maintains effective business relationships with all levels of management to facilitate continuous improvement of corporate and field operations.
  • Prepares strategic communications to personnel and user community to ensure awareness of contractual requirements, issues, practices, and procedures as needed.
  • Ensures team maintains appropriate skills and competencies required to conduct operations timely, effectively and in compliance.
  • On-the-spot critical thinking to provide agreeable remedies to get the contracts signed or maintain the integrity of existing contracts.
  • Ownership of the audits to ensure all regulations are followed, manages a high volume of background exceptions, identifies and avoids service issues requiring timely resolutions.
  • Consults with Pricing Team on pricing exceptions, amendments, and extensions, and provides recommendations where necessary.
  • Navigates internal and external interactions at all levels, ensures contractual adherence, and provides advise to some level of decision making as to what is feasible on behalf of the organization.
  • With the main goal of solutioning, the analyst identifies and avoids service issues while also needing to meet the expectations of the internal and external clients and the legal obligations of the contracts.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
About you

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field or related experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of auditing, contract compliance, or related experience. Project management, financial management, and field operations experience is highly desirable.

  • Ability to stay abreast of system enhancements, regulatory requirements and organizational compliance policies.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including demonstrating expertise in client negotiations.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems through evaluating all options and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to develop, improve and streamline processes to meeting established goals and objectives.
  • Ability to manage conflict and demonstrate the courage to challenge organizational thinking and the status quo.
  • Ability to effectively influence others at various levels internal and external of the organization.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate best practices and standards in auditing.,
  • Ability to conceptualize and implement ways to improve the organization by taking risks to enhance the speed and organizational ability to adapt and create.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Beginner Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
