Adecco wants to turn its data into asset by establishing a Global Data Factory, which will leverage internal and external data at scale to drive the Adecco business performance, by industrializing reporting and unlocking opportunities through data science capabilities to maximize the value creation for and with Clients, Candidates, Associates, and Colleagues.

The Global Data Factory is organized in a Global Data Lab and three regional Reporting Factories, one for the Americas, one for APAC and one for EMEA. Functions on Reporting Excellence, BI strategy and Project management are set up centrally in the Global Data Factory.

As Project manager within the Global Data Factory, you will play a pivotal role to turn this ambition into reality.

Your key responsibilities for a dedicated area (either functional or geographical) are the following:

  • Be the linking pin between the clients of the Global Data Factory and the Factory itself
  • Collect and assess business requests from the clients on data definitions, data analyses and management/operational reports
  • Manage the complete internal review process of large business requests
  • Drive the standardization and centralization of data analyses and reports across the Adecco Global Business Unit
  • Lead the process of setting or amending standard data definitions on behalf of the Global Data Factory
  • Gather requirements on BI tooling, establish or adapt BI tooling strategy and implement changes

Main activities



  • Collect and challenge business requests from the clients on data analyses and management/operational reports, in close cooperation with the Business Performance Managers, before initiating formal internal review process of the Global Data Factory
  • Organize the internal review process on new requests, liaising with the management of the Global Data Factory, the Reporting Excellence manager and the Global IT team
  • Create project charters on new requests, which give amongst others more insight in the issue, the proposed solution and its global benefits and costs and the deployment strategy
  • Participate in preparing business cases (detailed benefits and costs) on new requests in partnership with the Global IT team
  • Be the first point of contact towards the client on business requests and inform them on the outcome of the review process
  • Set-up and manage projects to deliver large new data analyses and reports after business requests are approved in the review process
  • Work on business specifications and designs of large new data analyses and reports together with the various teams in the Global Data Factory and the Global IT team
  • Liase with clients during the development process and engage them for user accepting tests
  • Organize the deployment of new data analyses and reports together with the clients and measure the adoption
  • Maintain the roadmap of projects managed by you, measure the value realization of your projects and communicate on this regularly on the progress of individual projects to all relevant stakeholders
  • Gather ideas and requirements for the BI tooling strategy, which should be aligned with Adecco’s strategic orientation and operational priorities
  • Draft plans for improvements in close cooperation with the Global IT BI team
  • Realize BI tooling projects from start to finish

  • Participate in the Data Governance process for the Data Factory
  • Connect closely with the business representatives/clients to identify opportunities for leveraging data, data analyses and reports by the Global Data Factory. As such you strongly promote the Global Data Factory with its clients
  • Collect and challenge business requests from the clients on standard data definitions
  • Prepare new or amended standard data definitions in partnership with the Reporting Excellence Manager of the Global Data Factory and the Global IT team
  • Propose new or amended standard data definitions to the Global Data Owner and after approval, monitor the implementation process
  • Participate in the data structuring in partnership with the Global IT team to ensure the right availability and quality of the data for uses case on data analytics/science and management/operational reporting

Qualifications & requirements

  • Qualifications:  University bachelor or master degree, preferably in BI, Data science and/or Finance
  • Experience: 4 - 6 years of minimum project management or BI experience in a comparable function or within Finance, Audit or consulting
  • Language: fluent professional English (written & spoken)
  • Others: Project management affinity is a must

Working environment

  • Travel up to 20% of the time.
